Bring the Canadian education experience to Turkey

CLLC Turkey is a K-8 school concept that combines more than twenty years of Canadian education experience with the Turkish curriculum. We are looking for partners who want to bring this model to their own region.

01THE OPPORTUNITY

There is unmet demand in Turkey

Families in Turkey who want both the Turkish curriculum in full and English their child can genuinely use are usually left choosing between two incomplete options. International schools teach their own programme; at private schools, English stays confined to its timetabled lessons.

CLLC Turkey was built on that gap. The whole of the Turkish curriculum is taught, and on top of it comes twenty years of English language teaching from CLLC's EAL schools in Canada.

The model is running at the Beykoz campus and is now ready to be established in other regions. Our franchise programme is open to partners who want to take on the concept with a corporate structure, a curriculum already in place and continuing support.

The difference between starting a school from scratch and running an established model is that the second one has been tested.

02LEADERSHIP

About Aly Rajab

Aly Rajab presenting the Beykoz school project

Aly Rajab, founder and chairman of CLLC, has worked in education for more than twenty years. At CLLC's schools in Canada he has prepared thousands of students for high school, university and vocational programmes.

CLLC Turkey grew out of his own experience. During four months spent in Istanbul with his family, the gap he ran into while looking for the right school for his own child became the reason this school exists.

Franchise partners are therefore not working with a brand alone, but with a management team that knows the sector from the inside. That Aly knows both the Canadian and the Turkish side is a decisive advantage when the model has to be adapted to local conditions.

03THE CONCEPT

What makes the K-8 concept different

The CLLC Turkey K-8 concept offers an unbroken education from kindergarten through to grade eight. A child spends nine years in the same school, with the same approach and with a team that knows them.

The programme rests on three pillars: the Turkish curriculum in full, English built into the day, and social and emotional learning. These are not three services offered side by side. They complete one another.

Classes are kept small. This is not a capacity limit but a founding choice: a teacher who can know every child is the feature of this model that gets talked about most.

The campus was designed on the same thinking. The building in Beykoz was not an existing property we moved into; it was built from the ground up around a child's day. Space planning with franchise partners follows the same principles.

04WHY CLLC TURKEY

What we offer our franchise partners

The right to use a brand is not a business model on its own. What we hand over to our partners is a whole working system.

  • Full training and handover

A training programme covering every side of running a school, from how the curriculum is structured to day-to-day operations. The methods we use are passed on, from teacher selection criteria to the daily timetable, from classroom management to parent communication.

  • A tested business model

Operating and growth strategies developed over years are shared with you. Instead of the trial and error a start-from-scratch venture goes through, you work from a road map that has already been followed.

  • Continuing support

Support does not end at opening. Regular help is provided in areas such as marketing, operations and staff training. As a franchise partner you are not left on your own at any step of the way.

  • The strength of a Canadian brand

Joining the CLLC network means drawing on the recognition of a brand built over twenty years in Canada. In the Turkish market that gives families a concrete reference point when they are deciding.

  • A position in a growing field

Demand for quality bilingual education in Turkey is rising. Taking a position in that field with a corporate structure behind you is favourable ground on which to build a lasting business.

05PROCESS

How the process works

Franchise discussions begin with an assessment on both sides. You need to get to know the model, and we need to get to know the region and the partner.

  1. First conversation

After your enquiry we arrange an introductory meeting. How the model works, which regions are open, and what each side expects are discussed together.

  2. Assessment on both sides

We look together at demand for education in the region, the competitive picture, and the partner's experience. Not every enquiry is taken forward; the model may not suit every region or every profile.

  3. Feasibility and planning

Location, capacity, investment requirement and timeline are worked through together. Campus design and the layout of the space are addressed at this stage.

  4. Agreement

Rights and obligations on both sides, the scope of support and the terms are set out clearly, and the agreement is signed.

  5. Setting up and training

Curriculum handover, teacher selection, setting up the operational systems and training the team are completed. Preparations for opening are carried out together.

  6. Opening and ongoing support

Regular support continues after the school opens. Marketing, operations and academic quality are followed up as joint work.

06THE PARTNER WE LOOK FOR

Who we want to work with

A franchise partnership is a long-term collaboration. That is why approach matters as much as investment capacity when we choose a partner.

  • Investors and entrepreneurs who take a long-term view of education. Running a school is not a field for anyone looking for a quick return.

  • Partners who know their own region. A partner who understands local demand, the families there and the competition settles the model far more quickly.

  • Partners who will hold to the principles of the model. Small classes, teacher selection and the curriculum taught in full are the parts of the concept that are not open to negotiation.

  • Partners who will be there at the head of the business. A school is not an investment to be managed from a distance; it is an institution that needs following day by day.
